School Council

School Council members are nominated by their class at the beginning of September.

A secret ballot is held to elect two representatives from each class in Key Stage 2.

Our job is to make our school as good as possible for pupils, families and every one who works here. Meetings are held once every two weeks, sometimes more often if we have a lot of work to do.

We set an Agenda for each meeting and discuss each item. We then go back to our Class Councils and ask them to vote on decisions that need to be made. Representatives bring this information back to Council meetings for further debate and final decision making.

We ask the children questions about what helps them to learn and what makes them feel safe and happy and we try to put in place the things they ask for. Sometimes it is very difficult to please everyone!

If you have any problems, worries or ideas you would like us to think about please speak to your School Council representative.

We promise that your points will be discussed at Friday Council meetings.
