New Topic 'Let's Celebrate!' - posted 26th Oct

This half term our topic is ‘Let’s Celebrate!’ and we will be doing lots of exciting things. We will be looking at how we celebrate bonfire night, and also learning how to keep safe during this fun time. Our story focus at the start of the half term will be 'Spot's Birthday.' Here we will be focusing on how and why we celebrate our birthday? This will then lead us nicely into our Christmas story, we will be getting very busy learning about the birth of Jesus and all the special things that happen at Christmas. After Christmas when we return back to school we will carry on our celebration theme for another week or two, to look at 'Chinese New Year.' This will provide another excellent opportunity for children to learn through creative activities, read lovely stories and talk about their new experiences.

They also created a Bear Paw Print using shape sponges, colour and tracing of bear pictures, counting the number of bears found in the water and sand area, plus many more activities. It was a fantastic day for everyone involved!
